Many people are looking forward to the 4th of July Parade in Lake Bluff, but at least one woman gets melancholy thinking about it. “La Belette Rouge” is a blog written by a former Villager who moved to Los Angeles a couple of years ago. She’s getting used to life on the West Coast, but she often reflects on her days in Lake Bluff … and the dreams that never came true for her here. Click on these words to visit www.labeletterouge.com
You can check in with La Belette Rouge regularly by visiting Gazebo News “local blogs” feature. It’s a list of blogs written by residents of our communities or about our towns. Cllick on “Local Blogs” in the GazeboNews navigation bar.

I am a HUGE fan of La Belette Rouge. I read her blog almost every time she posts, knowing it promises to make me laugh, entertain and also often, educate and empathize. She writes from her soul and the connection she makes by stringing letters to form sentences into blog posts is magical.
Lake Bluff must feel her absence.
La Belette Rouge is one of my favorite blogers. Her posts are insightful and entertaining, and her writing is superb.
La Belette Rouge sets the bar for what blogging should be. Her stories, though personal, tap into what is universal. And her writing is pitch perfect–always hitting the elusive balance between funny and heartfelt, serious and sassy. Definitely a blog to put at the top of your reading list.
La Belette Rouge is the first blog I log onto every day. She introduced me to Lake Bluff because of her love for the town. She is very witty and writes from the heart. Everyone will enjoy reading!
I’m going to be proud to say I knew this blogger when she becomes a famous novelist. She’s one of my favorite writers on the internet, and she has integrity, which can be rare on the net these days. Love her.
