Book Signing Events Planned For New Barat Book

A GazeboNews reader in Evanston, Kathy Schillinger-Smith, asked us to share news of a new book and book signing events that are coming up. The book is “Barat College: A Legacy, A Spirit, And A Name.” It’s written by Sister Martha Curry, an alumna and former English teacher at Barat.

Said Ms. Schillinger-Smith: I attended Barat, graduated in 1980, and truly treasure my four years there. During that time, the average age of a student was 38 years old. So many women from the surrounding communities attended classes with us. What insight they added to lives of the traditional age student. I hope we returned the favor with friendship and camaraderie. So if any of those women are still living in the community – they may be interested in having a copy of this book.”
