Petitions Available For Lake Bluff Park Board

Lake Bluff, Illinois— In the April, 2013 Election, the Lake Bluff Park District (www.lakebluffparks.org) will have five Board of Commissioner seats on the ballot, four full terms (four years) and one unexpired term (two years). Present Commissioners are eligible to run for additional terms.

Those interested in serving on the Board can pick up nomination petitions after September 17 at the Park District’s Administrative Offices, 355 W. Washington Avenue, Lake Bluff (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
The first official day for circulating petitions for signatures is September 25. For a candidate to be placed on the ballot, completed nomination petitions must be turned into the Administrative Offices during regular business hours between December 17 and 24, 2012.

Lake Bluff Park District is a governmental agency established for the purpose of providing parks, facilities and recreation programs for the community. The Park District is governed by seven elected commissioners who set policy for the District’s operation.
