From the SpeakUP! Coalition:
Residents of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff: Turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal prior to or on Saturday, September 29, 2012
at the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Police Stations.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, September 29, 2012.
Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Police Stations are drop off locations for our communities.
This is a great opportunity for those who missed the previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications (not sharps or liquids).
The majority of teens abusing prescription drugs get them from family and friends – and the home medicine cabinet.
Unused prescription drugs thrown in the garbage can be retrieved and abused or illegally sold. Unused drugs that are flushed contaminate the water supply.
