The Lake County Bar Association is headquartered in Waukegan, Illinois and has a membership of over 880 lawyer members, as well as 140 non-lawyer associate members. Among other goals, the Association’s members seek to foster respect for the administration of law, to increase attorneys’ and the public’s knowledge of law through continuing legal education, and to uphold the honor and dignity of the legal profession. As past President of both the LCBA and it’s charitable Foundation, I can tell you that we evaluate judicial candidates on a non-partisan basis. We also try to inform voters about other offices which are vital to the administration of justice, such as the States Attorney, the Clerk of the Court and the Coroner. We hope that you will come out to the College of Lake County for tonight’s forum and hear for yourself from the candidates.
