League Hosts Debate For Lake County Offices

Submitted by the League of Women Voters of Lake Forest-Lake BLuff

National attention on the Lake County State’s Attorney’s office due to false confessions, DNA issues, and wrongful convictions has heated up the race between two contenders Chris Kennedy (D) and Mike Nerheim (R), who are battling to replace Mike Waller. Come, hear, and question these candidates along with candidates running for other Lake County Administrative offices.

The League of Women Voters is sponsoring a debate on Sunday, Oct 21, for candidates running for the four Lake County Administrative Offices: State’s Attorney, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Recorder, and Coroner. There are important issues for all the offices. There is only one incumbent in the four races, so there will be a number of new faces. Decide first hand who will make the better public servants. The debate is being held at the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Senior Center, 100 E. Old Mill Rd. LF. It starts at 1:30, with doors opening at 1:00 pm.
