Lake Bluff’s haunted history came to life this weekend as the Lake Bluff History Museum hosted its Ghost Walk, a spirit-guided tour of local haunts and local history. Brave souls followed ghoulish guides through the streets of downtown Lake Bluff as they attempted to avoid the sea serpent that may (or may not) have eaten Village President Christine Letchinger, heard a bloody tale of two butchers unfold on Wisma’s front steps, watched as Al Capone and his gang (accompanied by “bored” Lake Bluff wives) were busted by police, and attended a secret seance in Village Hall. GazeboNews correspondent Jenny Quill was on site and took the following photos with her cell phone:
- A spooky moon illuminates the haunted Village Hall.
- A graveyard on Village Hall’s front lawn.
- A bloody tale unfolds on Wisma’s front steps.
- Teddi Santos took this photo of the moon rising over Lake Bluff’s Village Hall. Are those clouds … or ghosts?
